Data acquisition with different types of iPhone

Post by Ranieri Santanchè » Thu Apr 18, 2024 3:52 am

Hello everyone,

I'm a research fellow at the University of Pisa and I have a question for you.

I was wondering if it's possible to collect data using different types of iOS devices. For example, could I collect data with an iPhone 12 Pro and an iPhone 11, or could differences between the cameras cause errors or inconsistencies in the collected data?

I would really appreciate it if someone with experience in this field could give me some advice or share their experience.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Ranieri Santanche

Hi Ranieri,

Yes, you can use different iPhone types in the same data collection. The web application will use the camera parameters unique to each phone during processing.

Note, we have had some issues with iPhone 11s. See this post here: viewtopicPhpbb.php?f=2385&t=17067&p=0&s ... 71e6574685
