Before calculating the measures of error (MAE, MAPE, RMSE...)

New project for OpenCap, which is a new software package to estimate 3D human movement dynamics from smartphone videos. OpenCap strongly relies on OpenSim.

Before calculating the measures of error (MAE, MAPE, RMSE...)

Post by Jade He » Tue Oct 29, 2024 2:21 pm

Hi~

I am curious whether resampling (upsampling or downsampling) and/or time-normalization was done to the opencap (fps 60 Hz) and mocap (fps 100 Hz) data before calculating the measures of error in the opencap paper https://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/ ... bi.1011462. Hopefully, I did not miss the information in the paper and the supplementary materials.

This new publication triggers the question above. It reports downsample from 200 Hz to 60 Hz of the mocap data and time-normalization to 101 data points of the mocap and opencap data. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10 ... 233#d1e248.

Thank you ahead for your answer!
Jade

Hi Jade,

We upsampled the OpenCap data to 100Hz for comparison with Mocap.
