Re: Upper Extremity Kinematic Model Public Forum
Hi, my name is Seth Thompson, I am a masters student (Biomedical Engineering University of Cape Town).
I am considering using the upper extremity model for a Lat Dorsi tendon transfer problem, but I have one question about the shoulder rotation. It is currently set as -90 to 20 degrees. This translates to a huge external rotation and almost no internal rotation. I changed it to what I assume it was meant to be at -20 to 90 degrees but I just wanted to ensure that this was some error and not something that I have misunderstood.
Thank you for the help
Seth

Hi Seth,
I just had exactly the same question! You can easily adjust the limits on the ranges on the DOFs if you open the file for .osim model using notepad++ or any other text editor. Then go "shoulder_rot" and find the min max limits in radians. Change as you wish.
