OpenMM Zephyr multi graphic card question

Post by Cho yunsung » Tue Aug 25, 2009 8:39 pm

Hi, I appreciate your reply and I have another question.

I tested OpenMM Zephyr in Window XP and OpenMM Zephyre was performed well(using CPU and GPU(one Graphic card)).

I've understanded that CUDA supprt multi Graphic cards.
Nevertheless I expect more faster run time, when I setted two or three NVIDIA Graphic card, there are no dramatical running speed difference.

My test result are below:
One Geforce 8800 : 121 sec
two Geforce 8800 : 121 sec
three Geforce 8800 : 118 sec

One GTX 260 : 79 sec
One GTX 260 + One Geforce 8800 : 66 sec
One GTX 260 + two Geforce 8800 : 66 sec

Is it possible that using multi Graphic cards in OpenMM Zephyr?
Are there options to run in multi Graphic cards?
And is it possible that using another type of graphic cards at a time?

OpenMM, upon which OpenMM Zephyr is built, does not currently support multiple graphics cards so what you are seeing is expected. There are plans to eventually have OpenMM run on multiple cards within one box.
