How to build a physical mechanical simulation from scratch?

This project allows MATLAB users to use OpenSim as a physics engine - .osim files serve as models whose dynamics can be integrated.

Hello...
I am new to OpenSim how can I generate my own OpenSim Model and
motion data so that I can simulate them? I tried using the Simbody source kit but unable to configure using svn. Please help.
