Modelling the meniscus for FE analysis

Hello, I'm a master's student studying engineering. My project involves performing FE analysis on a knee model using FEBio Studio. I was wondering about the best way to set up a knee model for FEA. So far I have set up all the material properties.

I am a bit confused about the boundary conditions. I.e. rotational rigid constraints and surface constraints.
Any common mistakes in setting up a knee model in FEBio Studio? (I'm using the OKS1 knee model)

Kind regards,
Fahim

Hi Fahim,
I don't have much experience in using FeBio studio. The current version of models is built for FeBio 2.9 (https://simtk.org/plugins/datashare/?group_id=485 (OKS_models), https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9832097/ ) . I don't think there is much difference in the format of the .feb files so you might be able to run these models in febio studio with minimal edits to give you an idea of how various material, boundary conditions etc. are set up.
