Source of Error Tolerances

Post by Michael Harris » Thu Jan 19, 2012 3:56 pm

You folks have listed some nice target values for marker errors, RMS differences between IK & RRA, and max residuals. They are a very helpful guide.

Where did those tolerances come from? Are they from your experience (i.e. the amount of error you have found that still model results that match the literature) or is there a cite-able source for such estimates?

Thanks for making this page,
Mike

Hello Mike,
These are mostly from practical experience. This is a more official source with additional information:

This reply is very late because several of us who monitor this page got caught up in graduating last year, but new management is coming soon and the page will get more active!
