The orientation of the muscle Forces?

Provides an easy to use toolbox, compatible with OpenSim, for the estimation of the human lower extremity muscle and joint dynamics.

The orientation of the muscle Forces?

Post by Aseel Ghazwan » Mon Nov 21, 2016 8:43 am

Hi All,
I would like to know if the muscle forces that are estimated by using CEINMS are parallel to the muscle line of action for each muscle?

Thank you.

Hi Aseel,

the short answer is yes, as CEINMS only estimates the magnitude of the force, which is function of the musculotendon length and muscle excitation.

Cheers
Claudio
