Joint contact forces results

Post by Mohammadreza Rezaie » Mon May 24, 2021 2:20 am

Hi,

After appending the contact model file to the end of the subject file, I executed the CEINMS to calculate the medial and lateral knee contact forces based on Plantar mechanism (kneeBalance) in Static Optimization mode. But I can't find any relevant results in the output folder. The folder contains only following file:

Activations.sto
AdjustedEmgs.sto
FibreLengths.sto
FibreVelocities.sto
MuscleForces.sto
MusclesContribution.sto
NormFibreLengths.sto
NormFibreVelocities.sto
ObjectiveFunctionComponentsAndWeightings.sto
PennationAngles.sto
Torques.sto

These are my files:
ceinmsExercise.zip
(316.89 KiB) Downloaded 52 times
Is there any other option must be adjusted? I would be grateful for your help.

Regards,
Mohammadreza

Hi

Were you able to solve this problem? How can we get contact forces in CEINMS?

Thank you

Hi, unfortunately I didn't proceed. It seems that this is not the direct output of CEINMS. In this particular case, you can find the equations of the knee joint medial and lateral compartment loads in the following papers:

Thanks for your response.. will check these articles.. If m not mistaken i think we can use OpenSim API to get joint loads using CEINMS.. will have to check that out as well.

Thanks again
