Authentication of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources Plan

Lately I've been considering whether to include model credibility in the new NIH requirement for a section on "Authentication of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources Plan"
Are our models a "biological resource" ? - they are not a piece of tissue or an enzyme or a cell but they are not simply derived data either.
In either case, it might be good to simply align ourselves with these 'authentication' efforts (another word for our glossary if not already there).
