Motion Files and .STO files

Post by Omar Sheikh » Thu Aug 08, 2013 11:45 am

For the ForceReporter I need a .sto file but I only have the motion file (that has the desired motion). Is there anyway to incorporate the information from the .mot file to create a .sto file that I can run analysis on?

Secondly, if this is not possible, how does one create a .sto and corresponding .mot file in OpenSim (to create a desired motion)?

Hi Omar,

.sto files and .mot files have the same information, except for potentially the header (as the .mot format originated outside OpenSim). Please consult the documentation page below for a description of both formats.

Thanks for your help!

That seemed to have worked.
