q: about muscle fiver forces

Post by shoko horibata » Sun Sep 22, 2013 3:13 am

Please tell me about muscle fiver forces.
I'm waiting for early reply.

I read user's guide (CMC, Forward dynamics) and
OpenSim: a musculoskeletal modeling and simulation framework for in silico investigations and exchange by Ajay Seth et al (2011), OpenSim: Open-Source Software to Create and Analyze Dynamic Simulations of Movement by Scott L. Delp et al (2007).
But I can't understand about muscle fiver forces.

I know, muscle fiver force equals out tendon force, and tendon force is dependent on its length.
Thus, output force of muscle is determined by muscle's fiver length. Is that right??
I would like to know how to calculate muscle fiver forces.
If you know, please tell me about muscle fiver forces like the specific formula.

A description of the Thelan muscle model can be found here;
