Question on using CT data to make new model

Post by John Olthoff » Wed Oct 16, 2013 2:14 pm

I am interested in potentially using OpenSim to do some musculoskeletal modeling. I am a bit confused on how the detailed models were created; How would I go about creating the skeletal model from CT data? Is there some way to import it into OpenSim from Matlab once I have a 3d structure?

Thanks for any help!

Hi John,
OpenSim doesnt have any inbuilt ability to do this. Most commonly, people use NMSbuilder (http://www.nmsphysiome.eu/). An example can found here:

There are also a number of commercial packages.
