Problems with Positions of Markers during Scaling

Post by Carlo Tricarico » Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:30 am

Hi everybody,
I've got a question: let's pretend we have two person who have the same skeleton, which means that their bones are totally identical, but different muscolar structure (one obese while the other not). What happens to their markers , if we proceed with a scale tool? I mean, the makers, let's say, on the right thigh will be placed in the same location or the tool will take account of the different amount of muscle between the two subjects?
I've got this doubt because I can't figure out how things works once we had scaled the model: I've not understood how OpenSim is capable of placing the marker at the end.

Thank for all the raplies

Hi Carlo,
A previous discussion about marker placing can be found here;

Let us know if that clears it up.
