c3d to trc

Post by Gabriel Britcher » Wed Aug 06, 2014 7:37 am

I was looking for a Matlab tool that could convert c3d files to trc files. All the ones that I found needed force plate data and force data. Are there any that only need marker data as for an arm model. I had been using Mokka motion capture software to convert one file at a time, but now I need to use a script to run many files to convert at once. Thanks for any and all help!

BTK has an api with Matlab and Python bindings. You should be able to find the function you were using in the Mokka gui and write a script utilizing it. I'd ask on their mailing list.

You can also use MOtoNMS:

https://simtk.org/home/motonms/

Its Static Elaboration block works also without force data and for dynamic trials. You have just to add a joint center computation. Refer to the available User Manual (http://goo.gl/Ukrw5B) for more information.
