Static Optimization Output

Post by Spencer Savoies » Thu Sep 11, 2014 6:01 am

Are the muscle activations output by the static optimization normalized?

Can I directly compare them to filtered and normalized EMG like the OpenSIM document recommends?

Thanks

Hi Spencer,

SO and CMC activation are between ~0 and 1. Same as activation levels for normalized EMG.

Comparing experimental and simulation results is problematic. People tend to use the experimental EMG to check on the timing of activation and general shape.
