associating motion objects

Post by Allison Arnold » Mon Jul 06, 2015 12:20 pm

Hi,
I'm trying to verify that my experimental force data (crank forces during cycling) is being applied correctly. To do this, I'm "associating motion objects" with an IK solution. I've stored the force data in 2 different ways:
File 1: forces and COP in the ground frame
File 2: forces in the ground frame, COP fixed in the rCalc and lCalc frames.

I've "edited" the associated motion object for File 2 to specify that the points (px, py, pz) are expressed in the rCalc and lCalc frames. The forces are expressed in ground.

I expected both files would display the same forces, but they don't! The force vectors are not parallel, yet the force columns (vx, vy, vz) in my files have the exact same values.

Am I misunderstanding how "associate motion objects" is supposed to work? Please advise!
Thanks,
Allison

Hi Allison,

There was a bug in displaying forces which has been fixed in 3.3. The application was correct, but the display in the GUI had a bug.

Cheers,
-James
