Modeling Rigid Bodies With No Mechanical Properties

Post by Hao Yang Chan » Tue Aug 18, 2015 1:50 pm

Hi all, is it possible to model rigid bodies with no mechanical properties? i.e., the calculations of young's modulus in HuntCrossleyForce and ElasticFoundationForce are not calculated.

Hi!

The answer might yes...as you can also model rigid body with no mass (as previous SIMM models). However, you will not be able to run dynamic simulation though. I think there is a similar problem with respect to inertial properties.

Cheers
