inverse kinematic

Post by cristina vulpiani » Fri Jul 24, 2015 1:46 am

I try to use inverse Kinematic on the model of the Arm!
first of all I take the simple model of the Arm that contain in the Opensim Folder and I add 3 markers on that model, then save it.
After I scale using a .trc file (Static file) but when I try to run a motion for Inverse kinematic the markers doesn't appear on the Model: they are in other space and when I PLAY the motion they move correctly but in a different place, and the model doesn't move.
am I doing something wrong?
I attach a screenshot.
thanks

Hi,

If the model doesn't have a degree of freedom to move and lineup with recorded markers then that's the best you can do. If you're using the Arm26 model then that's the case since the torso is the ground in this model.

Hope this explains,

And How can I solve it?
I think I have to put more degree of freedom to the ground? how can I do that?
is there any arm model better then that?

thanks for your time

and maybe you can tell me how can I add the bones? I know that something about adding geometric file but I don't find it.
thanks
