How to apply external force and measure contact force

Post by Tanyaporn Pungrasmi » Tue Dec 22, 2015 12:51 am

Has anyone have been working on multibody dynamics before?

Now I am working on the project measuring the contact force of human bone after the impact. For example human knee was hit by a racket or human was hit by car from an accident. I wonder that Opensim program is able to do this kind of simulation or not.
From what I've been reading, first I need to perform the Forward Dynamics first in order to find the motion and velocity change after collision. But I have no idea how to know the force and torque from the beginning. Do those data are only from the lab only? Or Opensim is able to calculate the force and torque after collision?

I am very confuse how to get though these problem now.
Could anyone please tell me how to solve this problem?
Best regards,
Tanya
