Very high reaction forces

Post by Nithin Kurup » Sun Sep 11, 2016 2:43 pm

Hi,

I am performing a forward simulation of cycling. I have a pedalling setup with the crank and pedal made using pin joint and leg connected to the pedal using pointconstraint. When I tried to get the reaction forces at the point constraint - I get abnormal values.
Is it due to the joints I have made , perhaps need to add some limiting forces to pedal joint ?

looking forward to any help.

Nithin

I cant totally understand your question. If the implementation of constraint were correct, the high reaction force (constraint force) resulted from the high force needed to satisfy the constraint. I think the problem is not the joint implementation but the actuators which produced unrealistic forces.
