rotation division

Hello
if thorax rotation relative pelvis was 30 degree, can i rotate L5 to L1 , 20 degree and T1 to L5, 10 degree? this rotation division is possible!?
because in models in opensim respiratory, spine and thorax are a rigid body that rotate together in coordinate changing ability of opensim.
