problem with the reference frames of body segments

Post by Linjie Wang » Wed Apr 19, 2017 3:43 am

Hi, there.

Does anyone know how to modify the locations of each body segment's reference frame? If OpenSim is unable to do so, is there any other software could help to sort it out?

Many thanks,
Linjie

Do you mean editing the reference frames of Geometry? Because (OpenSim) bodies and geometry have their own, separate frames.

If you mean Geometry, you could use mesh editing software, like ParaView or Meshlab — but you would need to see their documentation to figure it out. In OpenSim, you can apply a transform to the geometry, see this previous postfor details.

Hi, James.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, I mean Geometry (such as tibia and femur) in which reference frame is applied or defined. Thank you for your advice. I will give it a go.

Regards,
Linjie
