Joint Reaction Forces

Post by Jonas Widmer » Wed May 31, 2017 4:17 am

Hi OpenSim Team

This is more like a theoretical question: I struggle to understand how the joint reaction forces are derived during the static opt.? Are they part of the minimization function? If yes, how are they weighted in the cost function compared to the muscle activations? And why do i obtain joint reaction moments in a "frictionless joint" as result of the SO? Is this a residual moment?

Thanks a lot for you help!
Best, J
