Hello
I am trying to create a simulation where I have constant joint angles at any point in time and am only looking for passive muscle forces to find joint reaction loads. How do i go about this?

Re: Passive Muscle Force and Constant Joint Angles
Construct the static motion (.mot). Then perform Static Optimization and then JointReactionAnalysis. Make sure that your model is not floating (free base), otherwise you will have to provide the external forces that keep the model steady (e.g. GRF in the case of gait).

If I provide a static motion file and apply external loads onto the bones, does OpenSim assume that the position is in static equilibrium? How would i constrain it such that the system is in static equilibrium
