mass of bone and muscle

Post by Amy Stalker » Tue Jul 14, 2009 1:23 pm

I was looking through the .osim file for gait2392, and noticed that the bones appear to have mass in the model, but the muscles do not. Is this correct?
Is the mass of the muscle and adipose tissue accounted for in the mass of the bone in the model?
Also I see in the .osim file under the definition of muscles, it says <material_name> DEFAULT </material_name>. How is the material of muscle defined in the .osim file?

If you have references for where this might be explained I would appreciate those too.

Thank you,
Amy
