Different actuators result in different muscles force

Post by cui weiling » Thu Mar 29, 2018 1:04 am

hi,
everyone
Recently, I solve muscel forces using static optimization and find differrent actuators set would result in different muscle foeces which further have great effect on JR forces. How to determine final forces? Is there have some parameters to multiply?
Thanks

Different results for different actuator are no surprise. Static optimization simply uses a mathematical criteria to estimate muscle forces, if you change any of the actuators, adding or removing them, changing the parameters of the forces such as maximum isometric force, as well as the actuator type ( will change force-length, force-velocity relationship, optimal fibre lengths etc.

If you push on the static optimization, look at OpenSim recommendations for using SO.
