Set zero activation to specific muscle

Good morning,

I would like to simulate an SCI status by constraining the activation of a specific set of muscles.
I have tried to disable the muscles directly in OpenSim but performing Static Optimization I get activation results in that kind of disabled muscles.
Any idea about that?
