virtual markers in the OPENSIM and the human tags in the VICON

Post by huang shen » Tue May 22, 2018 2:36 am

Hello!
We decided to use VICON to collect motion data, but we don't know the link between the markup points in the VICON and the virtual markers in OPENSIM. Should we use the virtual markers in the OPENSIM for reference to the human tags in the VICON? This question has plagued me for a long time and I hope to get your help. Thank you very much.

Good morning Huang,

The marker labels you have used for your experimental data need to match those of the OpenSim model you decide to use. For example, if you collected data of a marker positioned on the Right Anterior Superior Iliac Spine and labelled it 'RASIS' in Vicon, it would have to also appear in the OpenSim Model -> MarkerSet tag as 'RASIS'. I hope that helps.

Kind regards,
