I just did my first interactive lecture with OpenSim 4.0 Beta on my Macbook Pro. Hooray for having a Mac version finally!
Everything worked fine for me, but one of my students with an older Macbook Pro could not get the OpenSim visualizer to open for him. He uninstalled and reinstalled OpenSim 4.0 Beta, and that did not help.
Any suggestions for what he should try to get the OpenSim 4.0 visualizer to work on his Macbook Pro would be much appreciated.

Re: Problem with Visualizer in OpenSim 4.0 for Mac
Dear B.J,
There're a few factors that can contribute to this. It would help if your student can give more details, for example:
- Visualizer window didn't open altogether?
- Visualizer window opened but with a message that webgl is not supported on this machine.
- What OSX version is in use?
- Did the student install for him/herself or for all users on the machine.
We'll work with your student based on the specific answers to troubleshoot.
All the best,
-Ayman

Re: Problem with Visualizer in OpenSim 4.0 for Mac
Thanks Ayman.
The student tried rebooting his computer again, and for whatever reason, he says the visualizer now works. So the problem appears to be solved, though I still don't know what caused it originally. I saw his screen and there was definitely no visualizer running.
All is well that ends well .
