Cost Function in CMC....

Post by Anantharaman Gopalakrishnan » Tue Aug 25, 2009 2:05 pm

Hi,

During CMC, is a single cost function used for the entire model (both sides) or does the source code allow us to modify the cost function for a subsection of the model, like specify different functions for the right or left side or even for each joint??? Thanks!!

Ananth,

Before version 2.0 (due out next month) there's one objective function that CMC works with. It would be hard (though possible if you have the source) to rewrite it so as to treat individual muscles/groups differently. This however should get much easier in version 2.0, so stay tuned.
