Bodykinematics acceleration

Post by Sharmita Dey » Mon Nov 19, 2018 5:36 am

Hello everyone,

I am working with the acceleration file of the bodykinematics section in the Analyze tool of Opensim 3.3. The acceleration values that I get are different from that of when I take the double derivative myself of the position file values. I am comparing the linear acceleration of the tibia_r_X. However, the velocity curves align.

Please throw some light on this.

Hello Dimitar,

Thank you. Yes, this is relevant. I would like to ask one more thing. In this case, if I take the derivative of the velocity curve to get the acceleration values, would it be correct?

Thanks and Regards

Yes you can do that.
