IAA - coordinate system

Post by Pia Stefanek » Mon Dec 17, 2018 9:52 am

Hi,

If I peform IAA for the Femur during Walking, I get two values for the total acceleration in each direction: total_X and total_Ox. Is it correct that total_X describes the acceleration of the Femur in x-direction in reference to the global coordinate System?
Total_Ox on the other side describibes the acceleration of the Femur in x-direction in reference to the local coordinate System of the femur.

Further I want to ask if somebody knows a study where the femur acceleration during walking already was computed so that I can compare my results. I only found the study from Hamner & Delp, which only describes COM acceleration.

Thank you very much!
Pia
