Non-rigid object creation

Post by Tarana Kaovasia » Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:36 pm

Hello

Our team is currently working on a shape-memory alloy (SMA) based mechanism to be used in orthosis-design.

To evaluvate the forces that the SMA wires would be required to exert, we recently ventured into OpenSim 4.0. We would like to know whether SMA wires (a non-rigid body) could be emulated using this software?

Thank You

Best Regards,
Tarana

You may need to create a new muscle model which will implement the dynamics of the SMA. To do so you may create an OpenSim plugin.
