gait2354_Simbody Joint Lengths

Post by Max Houghton » Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:12 am

Hi,

I am trying to use some data I collected myself with 32 markers using motion capture. I have converted the data to the required .trc and .mot files however I can't apply it to a model properly as the subject size is different to that of the default gait2354_simbody model. Are the joints lengths available for this model so I can scale it up/down as required to match the subject from my own data?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Max

You can scale the model using the marker position information in the .trc file.

Hi Dimitar,

Thanks for getting back to me. The issue I have is that the markers used aren't on functional joint centres so can't be used to scale the model automatically. I've attached an image of the (incorrectly) scaled model with the markers from our trials. I need to scale the generic model manually but don't know the dimensions of the joints.

Thanks again for your help,

Max
