I am trying to simulate the lower limbs of a cyclist in openSIm *considering the movement in 2D).
The first thing that I am not sure about is the best way to model it: should I add a body for the crank and also pedals (or they are not necessary)? Is a pointConstrain between the calcaneus and the crank a good solution ?

Has someone done or knows of a cyclist model that can share?

Re: Cycling simulation
You will find a few cycling-related projects on this site if you search for "cycling" (using the "Search for" bar at the top of the page). This one includes a model (see the Downloads tab):
"Control strategies for functional electrical stimulation (FES) cycling", https://simtk.org/projects/fes-cycling

Re: Cycling simulation
Thanks for the suggestions. I found an interesting project: Examining Muscle Forces and Joint Loads in Osteoarthritis (OA) while cycling. But, being private I believe it is impossible to view.
The FES looks quite difficult to start with.
