I saw some articles that use the term either joint contact forces, joint reaction forces, or joint forces as they use the Joint Reaction Analysis in Opensim.
Can anyone explain what is different between them and which terminology is more appropriate to use if I want to talk about the resultant loading that could lead to osteoarthritis?

I would say that the most appropriate term is joint reaction forces/loads/wrenches. With joint reaction analysis, we are not computing contact forces that would result from a collision between two geometries. On the other hand, joint forces refer to generalized forces (tau) that are computed with inverse dynamics.
In osteoarthritis, people typically look at joint reaction forces, knee adduction moment (calculated geometrically) and contact pressure (e.g., from finite element analysis).
