Scaling

Post by Yunus Rezvanifar » Sat Dec 14, 2019 12:36 pm

Hi everyone

I have just a Femur bone 3D model derived from CT scan files and nothing else.
How can I scale OpenSim Generic model to this bone?

(Afterwards I gonna extract muscle forces acting on this by using MuscleDorceDirection plugin for my research)

Thanks

You can measure the distance between two landmarks on the bone. You can also measure the distance between the same landmarks on the generic model. Then you can use the distance to scale the generic model using the manual option (second tab).

I post this for future reference
Bones in vtp format can't be used for any calculation, they're just for visualization.
