Applying GRF data to foot

Post by Sheeba Davis » Thu Oct 01, 2020 3:45 am

Hi OpenSim expert team

Thanks for all your support.

I have a problem in applying grf data to foot if the walking gait data has been recorded from two force plates (treadmill). So the gait file has grf data of both feet. How do I make sure that grf is generated from a particular foot that is undergoing stance phase?

Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks
Sheeba

Hi Carmichael

Thanks for your response. I had already viewed that post, but could not understand exactly how to proceed. I had tried something like this:

1. As there are two force plates, I assumed that one foot land on one plate and the other on the other plate.
2. I have considered a threshold something like 100 N and so if the force plate 1 shows Fy > 100 then apply force to calc_r and if the force plate 2 shows Fy > 100 then apply force to calc_l.

But it didn't work. I tried to associate grf data with IK results but could not see the green arrow showing Fy. I am not sure whether this is correct.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Sheeba
