Hello,
I was trying to use this model
https://simtk.org/projects/ulb_project, instead of Rajagopal's model, to get better estimates of the upper limbs' motion, nevertheless I could not open it on GUI. I got this message:
- error_ULB_model_load.png (65.25 KiB) Viewed 510 times
My questions to you are:
- Is there any function, other than updateSocketConnecteesBySearch(), to automatically update OpenSim models from 3.3 or earlier versions? I've searched in your documentation and forum but I did not find it.
- Finally, do you have any suggestions of models with both upper limbs' joints full range of motion? Also, I didn't find one in your documentation nor in SimTK. Mobl arms seems very interesting for my goals (I don't need a very precise scapulothoracic joint description), but it only presents right upper limb...
Best,
Maria Lua Nunes

The message is suggesting that you open the model in 3.3 (which will update it to version 3.3), then save it, then open the updated model in OpenSim 4. Did this not work?

No, it didn't. I've tried to open the model, but I got that error message, and, when I click OK, the model doesn't open, thus I'm not able to save it in OpenSim 4.
This is how GUI looks after trying to open the model in 3.3:

The message in "Messages" window suggests that the model file is updating but it never opens, neither I found an update model in OpenSim installation folder.

Hello,
The model version described in the messages window goes back to version 1.5!! You may need to go through saving the model in version 2.4 before it can be interpreted by version 3.3 or 4.0+.
Hope this helps,

Hello,
And will I have to do it manually? Do you have any documentation explaining how to do it properly?
Thank you,

Hello,
Also, do you know any OpenSim model of torso + right upper limb + left upper limb? I didn't find it yet.
Best,
