Learning OpenSim

Post by Muhammad Sohail » Mon Sep 27, 2021 11:35 pm

Hi,
I am new to OpenSim, Can someone guide me how to start studying about OpenSim, Should I first read all documentation and then tutorial examples, or there is some other better way?
Thanks

A good place to look is the "Getting Started" section of the documentation (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... ng+Started). There are papers (e.g., https://doi.org/10.1109/TBME.2007.901024, https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pcbi.1006223) that provide an overview of the software. The three tutorials may be helpful (https://simtk-confluence.stanford.edu:8 ... +Tutorials), and there are some videos on the OpenSimVideos YouTube channel, including recordings of past webinars (https://www.youtube.com/user/OpenSimVideos/videos). The best way to get started may also depend on what you are trying to do with the software.

Thank you for replying.
I want to import solidworks femur and tibia model in OpenSim, and simulate the motion of Tibia on Femur w.r.t different femoral coordinate systems that I have obtained in Matlab.
Thanks
