Clamped and locked joints

Post by Radhakrishnan Vignesh » Wed Mar 09, 2022 3:30 pm

Hello,

I would like to understand how to determine which joints to lock and clamp based on the markers I have placed on the segment. I would also like to know whether this should be done just for the static trial or also for the dynamic trial. My goal is to just perform inverse kinematics

I have collected data using OptiTrak's helen hayes lower body dataset (image attached). While all the markers are relaible during static trial, I have not included the inner knee and ankle markers during dynamic trials. Would I have to lock the mtp angle since only one marker is being used during dynamic trial?

Thanks
