OpenSim haptics support

Post by Michel Audette » Mon Sep 12, 2022 1:41 pm

Dear OpenSim experts and developers,

I would like to find out if there is open-source support for OpenSim interaction with a haptic device (can be a basic 6 DOF stylus device).

It appears that SAI (Simulation and Active Interfaces) could be a way forward, since it links with Chai3D, but I'm not finding SAI classes, which I thought would be part of Stanford Control Library. Are the SAI applications in OpenSim still current? Is there an expert in this area still contributing to this forum?

Thanks for your kind support.

Michel
