Using OpenSim to Calculate Upper Extremity Motion's Kinetic Energy

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new user of OpenSim and I'm going through the learning curve and I have a question related to my goal of using OpenSim. I'm concerned about the upper extremity motion of the human body and my goal is to estimate the amount of the kinetic energy for any kind of motion for the upper extremity. I'm planning to use IMU sensors as the inputs to OpenSim and use the IMU-IK tool.

Can you please advise me on this and if my goal is achievable via OpenSim? Any kind of recommendations/resources are highly appreciated.
