How to pass an excel to .sto for use in opensim

Post by lidia Sanahuja Guarro » Wed Jul 05, 2023 2:49 am

I'm trying to convert an Excel file to STO format so that I can use it in OpenSim.
I would like to know how to do it because I'm having issues, and also if there's another way to use the data from Excel to simulate a human skeleton with those characteristics.
Thank you very much.
I am new in opensim.

Hi Lidia,

If it is just to make a test I usually make a copy of any sto file, then open it with Excel and replace the information (copy -paste) of your original Excel document and save it, but not with the "save as..." command, just overwrite the file. After that, you can change the name of the file from the folder window.

Best regards
