Seeking guidance on modelling contact spheres in OpenSim

Post by Silas Purja » Thu Dec 28, 2023 11:19 am

Dear OpenSim Community,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a project involving the modeling of an elderly person walking on both soft (low stiffness) and hard (high stiffness) floors using OpenSim.

While I have a basic understanding of the contact sphere concept in OpenSim, I find myself in need of assistance regarding how to relocate the contact sphere to a specific location and how to create multiple contact spheres at the interaction points between the foot and the floor.

If anyone in the community has experience or insights into this aspect of OpenSim, I would greatly appreciate your guidance and expertise. Your assistance will contribute significantly to the progress of my project.

Thank you very much for considering my request, and I am sincerely grateful for any help you can provide.

Many thanks,
Silas
