Coordinate System

Post by malin m » Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:06 am

Hi,

I struggle with scaling my model because I don't understand the coordinate system in OpenSim. In consequence, my trc data of the model in a static position won't match the coordinates OpenSim, which makes my model look quite weird.
I know the x/y/z directions, but I am not sure about the values. The LSJC (shoulder) marker's coordinates are (0,0,0), while the coordinates of the L.Acromium marker, which is located right above the shoulder, are (-0.03, 0.24, -0.15). I thought that the origin (0, 0, 0) is located in the pelvis area, but not all the other markers coordinates work like this.

Thank you in advance!
