org-opensim-modeling.jar | Java vs. modules difference?

What is the difference between C:\OpenSim 4.4\sdk\Java\org-opensim-modeling.jar and C:\OpenSim 4.4\opensim\modules\org-opensim-modeling.jar?

The files have different sizes (Java\org-opensim-modeling.jar = 1.58 MB vs. modules\org-opensim-modeling.jar = 6.16 MB), but what are the other distinctions?

I experimented with the MATLAB configuration by temporarily adding opensim\modules\org-opensim-modeling.jar instead of sdk\Java\org-opensim-modeling.jar to the javaclasspath.txt file, and the linkage works just as well.
