Applying OpenSense on full body model

Post by Sudheer Kumar Nanduri » Thu Jul 11, 2024 2:22 am

I'm trying to extend OpenSense to full body, by placing IMU sensors (Xsens DOT) on both upper and lower body parts. I have followed through the complete workflow, from data collection till inverse kinematics, using python code.

However, the final outputs are too wild to be useful. The upper body falls backwards when moving the hands and for sit-ups the legs float up.

Can it be due to wrong mapping of sensors to model? or is it due to the lack of constraints placed on the body model? Or any other reason?
