Dynamics effects

Post by Andres Hernández » Thu Oct 21, 2010 12:28 pm

Taking into account the model of inverse dynamics used by opensim, there is a stage of static optimization to calculate force muscles, i wanna know if optimization algorithm includes effects due by acceleration or its just quasi-static optimization frame by frame.

Thank you very much.

Hi Andres,

The static optimization is a frame by frame solution that doesn't do integration of the equations of motion. There's no guarantee of continuity of muscle activations, forces or joint torques.

Hope this explains,
